The name of the cat is Chestnut and he is the shopkeeper. He is adopted into the Cat Socrates family as he was a stray cat. He is currently 3 years old, and he usually sleeps behind his little booth or behind the counter during the afternoon. Then during the evening, he starts to move around in the shop and he might take the counter to look at people shopping as well as feeling loved by people petting him.
